Arrival to Tel-Aviv
A personal invitation letter, which you are required to present upon arrival to Ben-Gurion airport, to authorities in BG, will be sent to each leader within a week. Please ensure to take a copy of this letter with you.
Airport Transfer
On arrival to Tel Aviv: Transfer will be provided to all participants landing on Saturday July 6th, from 08:00. Delegations that will land until 12:00 will be transferred to the student’s hotel.
On departure: transfer will be provided to airport for participants that will fly on Sunday July 14 from 16:00 until Monday, July 15, until 23:59
Participants who will extend their stay beyond the dates and hours previously mentioned, will have to book transfer and accommodation independently.
Please note that public transportation is not available from Friday afternoons until Saturday nights in Israel.
Delegations arriving on Sunday, July 7th from 2PM will be picked up for arriving directly from the airport to the opening ceremony. For this occasion, please wear a plain white shirt, dark pants and respectable shoes.
Accommodation
Please note that the organizer will provide accommodation only from July 6 to July- 15 2019.
Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony will take place on Sunday, July 7th at 18:30 at Smolarz Auditorium. Busses will depart from Students hotel at 16:30 and at 17:00 from Leaders’ hotel.

Excursions
We are very excited to share with you the tour program. The students will visit:
Dead Sea, Galilee, Jerusalem, Weizmann Institute of Science, Acre and Tel-Aviv.
Leaders, Observers and visitors will visit Jerusalem, Haifa, Acre and Nazareth.

Experimental kitAt the end of the Olympiad, the two experimental used kits will be available for sale.Cost: The first kit will cost 130 Euro and the second will cost 170 Euro. Wednesday, July 10 – Leaders are kindly requested to inform the organizer on their decision whether they are interested to buyThursday, July 11 – payment should be done by cashSaturday, July 12 – supply of kits at the leader’s hotel.
Payment:
We would like to thank the countries that already forwarded the payment for their participation. A formal receipt will be provided upon arrival to the hotel. The addressee will be the same as mentioned on the Pro-Forma Invoice.
Those countries that has not yet paid are kindly requested to remit the fees before the opening ceremony.
Communication devices
As per the standard practice in IPhO, contestants are not allowed to communicate with the outside word and, in particular, the leaders, observers and visitors starting Sunday, July 7th after the opening ceremony till completion of the last examination.
Therefore, the contestants will be required to deposit, with the organizer, their mobile phones, laptop, tablets PCs and any other communication device on the evening of July 7th, after the opening ceremony.
In case of emergencies, the contestants should contact their respective student guides who will inform the appropriate authorities to enable communication with the leaders, if it will be necessary.
